Professor Mickey Koh received his medical degree at the National University of Singapore followed by all of his subsequent specialist Haematology training (FRCPath, MRCP and PhD) in London. He holds several joint positions. Prof Koh is the Clinical Director of the Haematology, Renal and Oncology Departments at St George’s University Hospital, London, UK and part of Infection and Immunity Academic Group at St George’s Medical School.

He is also Professor and Honorary Consultant of the Advanced Cell Therapy and Research Institute (ACTRIS) in Singapore which is a national facility involved in supporting cell and gene therapy trials across haemato-oncology and regenerative medicine. Professor Mickey Koh has been appointed as part of the Expert Advisory Panel at the World Health Organisation and sits on the Expert Committee on Biological Standardisation. He has also acted as co-chair for this committee. He is the current President of the Worldwide Network for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (WBMT) and will be the incoming President of WBMT 2026-2028. In addition, Professor Koh is on the Board of Directors for ISBT (International Society of Blood Transfusion) and ICCBBA, an international WHO-affiliated organisation overseeing the standard for terminology, coding and labelling of medical products of human origin. He has also been a past Board member of the International Society of Cellular Therapy (ISCT). Professor Koh has been the holder of multiple competitive grants, including large infrastructure, research and translational grants overseeing novel programs. He is currently also involved in an international grant between Cambridge University, UK and the National University of Singapore. He is widely published with more than 250 publications including editor and author of book chapters. He has also been an invited speaker in multiple international haematology, transfusion and cell/gene therapy conferences/meetings. He has also been called on as an expert for specially convened WHO panels including the WHO Expert Advisory Committee on Governance and Oversight of Human Genome Editing. Professor Koh is also the Chief External Examiner for and Training Supervisor for Postgraduate Haematology Examination, University of West Indies. He has been a Visiting Professor for the Taipei Medical University, Taiwan and is currently advising the Ethiopian government on setting up a transplant program for the country.

Prof. Surapol Issaragrisil is a Professor of Medicine at the Division of Hematology, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine from Siriraj Hospital of Mahidol University, Thailand.

He is an expert in hematology and blood and bone marrow stem cell transplantation.

He received bachelor degree from Siriraj Hospital in 1974 and Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1978 and became research fellow from Department of Clinical Physiology at University of Ulm in Germany in 1982. In 1984, he was Board Certified in Hematology and trained in bone marrow transplantation as a clinical fellow at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, USA in 1985.

He is also fellow of various prestigious societies including Royal College of Physicians (London) (FRCP), American College of Physicians (FACP), Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, (FRCPA), Royal College of Pathologists (UK) (FRCPath) and a member of various academic societies like American Society of Hematology, International Society of Hematology, International Society for Stem Cell Research and • Member, Asia-Pacific Bone Marrow Transplantation Group, etc.

Prof. Issaragrisil received various honors and awards for his outstanding works locally as well as internationally including The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Award for Outstanding Commitment and Dedication in Promoting Joint Research in US-Thailand Collaboration on Aplastic Anemia (1998)

Professor Sumeet Gujral is an eminent Professor & Pathologist (Honorary Consultant) from Advanced Center for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and Senior Advisor for Oncopathology of Tata Trust, Mumbai, India. He received his MBBS from PGIMS, Rohtak, Haryana, in 1986 MD in Pathology from AIIMS, New Delhi in 1995. He served as a senior resident in IRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi till 1998 and from 2000 onwards, he served as Professor of Pathology in Tata Medical Centre, Mumbai. Prof. Gujral is an oncopathologist with a special interest in hematopathology, immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry. He is a founder-Member and First Secretary (clinical) of The Cytometry Society. His laboratory has published extensively on Indian data on hematolymphoid neoplasms. His laboratory conducts proficiency testing program for hematolymphoid neoplasms, and advanced clinical cytometry and hematology training programs for students from India and other Asian countries. He has several publications particularly on immunophenotyping and flowcytometry on haemato-lymphoid malignancies. Dr. Groarke is a member of Bone Marrow Failure Team of National Heart Lung and Blood Institute under National Institutes of Health from USA where she was appointed as an Assistant Research Physician in 2019. She obtained her medical degree from University College Dublin, Ireland in 2011 and subsequently completed both her general internal medicine and hematology training through the Royal College of Physicians, Ireland in 2019.

Dr. Groarke’s primary research focuses are immune aplastic anemia, telomere biology disorders, clonal hematopoiesis, MDS and VEXAS. She is an investigator running a number of clinical trials and other clinical studies at the NHLBI. Clinically, she sees patients in the outpatient clinic with bone marrow failure, MDS and VEXAS, and is an attending hematologist on both the benign hematology and blood and inherited disorders transplant and cellular therapy inpatient services.

Dr. Sathar is a consultant Haematologist and former Head of Department of Haematology at Hospital Ampang, Government Hospital in Ampang, Malaysia. She specializes in treating patients with thalassaemia, haemophilia, thrombosis & bleeding disorder. Dr. Jamela plays a key role in developing the national Thalassaemia & Haemophilia programme to enhance patient care. She was the chairman in developing the Clinical Practice Guidelines on Prevention and Treatment of Venous Thromboembolism and Management of Immune Thrombocytopenia. She cofounded the Malaysian society of Patient Blood Management and is actively involved in promoting patient blood management programs to optimize patient outcomes. Pantep Angchaisuksiri, M.D., is Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Unit in the Division of Hematology, Department of Medicine, at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. He also holds posts of Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine, North Carolina, and is the Director of the Bangkok International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) Regional Training Center and Co-Director of the Bangkok International Hemophilia Training Centre of the World Federation of Hemophilia. Professor Angchaisuksiri is a medical graduate of Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand and was trained in Internal Medicine at Prince of Songkla University and Hematology at Mahidol University. He was also a clinical and postdoctoral fellow in Hematology/Oncology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine, North Carolina, USA. An active clinician, Professor Angchaisuksiri works with patients with thrombosis, hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, and has authored and co-authored papers relating to hemostasis and thrombosis in several leading international scientific journals. He is the President of the ISTH, and a council member of the Asian-Pacific Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis.

Thein H Oo received his medical degree from the Institute of Medicine II, Rangoon, Burma. He completed internal medicine training at hospitals recognized by the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom and at Albany Medical College, Albany, New York. He underwent Clinical Oncology training at Christie Hospital, Manchester, UK, and Hematology-Medical Oncology Clinical and Research Fellowship at St Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, USA. During his fellowship training, he received extensive training in clinical hematology and oncology, apheresis medicine, some aspects of laboratory hematology and transfusion medicine. In his final year of fellowship training, he trained as a research fellow in the world-renowned Erythrocyte Membrane Research Laboratory at the St Elizabeth’s Medical Center and also served as an Administrative Chief Fellow.

After completing the fellowship training, he joined the faculty of Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston. He was recruited to the Section of Thrombosis & Benign Hematology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in July 2010. His interests include supportive care in cancer, hemostasis and thrombosis, bone marrow failure syndromes, consultative hematology and the graduate medical education. He participates in local, national and international educational and hematology practice activities. He has published over one hundred and eighty manuscripts, book chapters and abstracts. Director and Head of the Department, Haematology, Paediatric Haemato-Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant, Fortis Memorial Research Hospital, Gurgaon since January 2017 In the process of establishing comprehensive and state-of-the-art stem cell transplant centres across Fortis Hospitals in Delhi NCR & Punjab. Also in the process of establishing India’s first Integrated Centre for Blood Disorders, Director & Head of Stem Cell Transplant Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon from August 2014 to December 2016 .The first Indian doctor to do and popularize Stem Cell Transplant in a Multiple Sclerosis patient and the first Haploidentical Stem Cell Transplant of Gurgaon. Dr Joydeep Chakrabartty is a senior haemato-oncologist and bone marrow transplant (BMT) physician with over two decades of experience in managing complex haematological malignancies and benign blood disorders. He also serves as Country Advisor (East India) to the Royal College of Pathologists and holds an honorary Assistant Professorship at the Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences in Kolkata, reflecting his active engagement in academic medicine and training.

After completing MBBS in Calcutta, Dr Chakrabartty obtained MRCP (UK), FRCPath (UK) and FRCP (Glasgow), and achieved CCT in Haematology in 2012, following extensive higher specialist training in the UK. His clinical training includes substantive posts and a dedicated BMT fellowship at leading centres such as Hammersmith Hospital (Imperial College), St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Christie Hospital Manchester and other London and North Western deanery units, providing broad exposure to allogeneic and autologous transplantation, including haploidentical and high-risk procedures.

On returning to India, he has been instrumental in establishing and leading several haematology and BMT services, including director-level roles at MIOT Hospital, Chennai, Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata, the AMRI group of hospitals, and HCG hospital, where he set up new transplant programmes and managed a wide spectrum of complex haemato-oncology cases. His practice spans the full continuum of care-from intensive transplant and acute leukaemia management to long-term follow-up and Laboratory-based diagnostics—and he has ongoing involvement in research, publications and textbook chapters in haematology and BMT.

Dr. Richard Dillon is a Consultant Haematologist and a Senior Lecturer in Molecular Haematology at Guy’s Hospital, London. Dr. Dillon studied medicine in University of London and graduated in 2004 and became member of Royal College in 2008. He completed FRCPath training in 2008. In 2016, he received PhD for his work on “The Biology of Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia and Therapy-Related Myeloid Leukaemias”.

Dr Dillon’s work is focused on acute myeloid leukaemia, in particular the development of molecular diagnostics and molecularly targeted therapies. Dr Dillon contributes extensively to clinical trials in AML: he leads on molecular MRD for the UK NCRI AML trials and is currently the chief investigator of the VICTOR and BlinAML studies, which are investigating an MRD guided approach to therapy.

Dr. Tan Soo Yong is Professor and Senior Consultant in the Department of Pathology, National University of Singapore (NUS) and National University Health Systems (NUHS), where he was the previous Head and Group Chief. Apart from his concurrent appointments as Research Director, Advanced Molecular Pathology Laboratory and BioPharma Solutions in Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB), A*STAR, Visiting Consultant to National Skin Centre and Advisor to the Ministry of Health (MOH) Singapore. He was Chairman, National Pathology Clinical Governance and Performance Workgroup, the founding Chief Examiner in Pathology and Chair of the Residency Advisory Committee for Pathology. Apart from multiple appointments in NUHS, he is also appointed by MOH as Chairman of the HBRA Review Expert Committee. For his services, he was awarded the Distinguished Senior Physician Award and 10-years Long Service Award by MOH. He is also recipient of the Long Service Medal (2022), the COVID Resilience Medal (2023) and the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) Medal in 2023. He obtained his medical qualifications from NUS and qualified in both forensic and histopathology. Dr Tan obtained his PhD from Oxford and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (UK) and a Diplomate of the Society of Apothecaries of London. He was a member of the International Lymphoma Study Group (ILSG) and is a contributing author to the WHO Classifications of haematolymphoid neoplasms, tumours of the skin and digestive tract. Dr Tan sits on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Hematopathology and for many years, was Chair of the Biobanking Subcommittee, Asian Network of Research Resource Centers. An educator at heart, he was the founding Course Director at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and had Visiting Professorships at University Malaya (Malaysia), Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences (China) and Universitas Padjadjaran (Indonesia). For many years, Dr Tan was also the International Advisor (West Pacific) of the Royal College of Pathologists and had initiated a postgraduate pathology training program in Myanmar. He successfully introduced next-generation sequencing (NGS) as a new service in NUH and also led consultancy initiatives in Indonesia. His current research interests include the cellular origins of intestinal T-cell lymphoma and the use of novel technologies such as miRNA profiling and AI in lymphoma diagnosis. He also has an interest in food safety and toxicology in the area of cultured meat and alternative proteins, as Member of the Advisory Panel on Novel Food Production Infrastructure and Chairman of the Singapore Food Toxicology Network.

Vip Viprakasit is a Professor of Pediatrics at Department of Pediatrics & Thalassemia Center at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. He received his MD with 1st class honor i n 1987 from the first medical school in Thailand; Siriraj hospital, Mahidol University and then trained as a pediatrician and pediatric hematologist in Royal College of Pediatrics, Thailand. He then continued his training i n the UK and got his DPhil from University of Oxford in 2002 and finished his postdoctoral fellowship in molecular hematology at Weatheral Institute of Molecular Medicine with Prof. Douglas R. Higgs, FRS in 2004. He then returned back t o Mahidol University where he was the appointed as a faculty at Department of Pediatrics, Siriraj hospital and became a full Professor in 2015. His major research focus has been on a translational medicine t o bridging between basic molecular biology t o routine clinical practice in hematology. Using the most common inherited disease in the Asian population; thalassemia as his model, he has extensively studied this condition in several aspects including molecular basis, pathophysiology, genotype- phenotype correlation, molecular diagnosis from routine service t o pre-implantation genetic analysis t o non-invasive prenatal test and newborn screening. From these fundamental works, h e has expanded his works into molecular basis, clinical management and developing clinical and laboratory tools for iron overload and iron deficiency anemia, both are prevalent in his region and representing two important problems in developing world. Dr. Viprakasit has served as an Associate Editor o f Blood Research, Journal Medical Association of Thailand, Southeast Asian Journal o f Tropical Medicine & Public Health and a member of steering committee for Nanotechnology Institute of Thailand and numerous clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies related to iron dysregulation in man. He received the best research award o f the year in 2016 from The National Research Council o f Thailand and a Sultan Bin Khalifa Award from UAE for the Excellent Center for Thalassemia Care under his supervision in 2014. Although working and researching in a resource limited setting like Thailand, Dr. Viprakasit has authored or co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications in less than 15 years, and has written many reviews o n thalassemia and/or iron related complications as well as chapters in major hematology reviews for American Society of Hematology (ASH) and European Hematology Association (EHA).

Dr Navin Khattry completed his MBBS from Calcutta Medical College, Kolkata, followed by MD in Internal Medicine from PGIMER, Chandigarh and DM in Medical Oncology at AlIMS, New Delhi. He was awarded the Shakuntala Jolly Gold Medal for the best student in Oncology for the year 2005.He further trained in BMT for a year and half at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and then joined Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, as an Assistant Professor in 2007.

He was instrumental i n setting up the Bone Marrow Transplant Programme and Adult Haematolymphoid Unit a t Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Kharghar, Navi Mumbai (a unit o f Tata Memorial Centre) and has recently assisted in the establishment o f the Cellular Therapy Programme at ACTREC with help o f his colleagues.

Professor Dr Gan Gin Gin is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Clinical Haematology at the Faculty o f Medicine, University Malaya, and has served a s Head of the Department o f Medicine since 2024. She is also the President o f the Malaysian Society of Haematology. Professor Gan holds multiple regional and international leadership roles, including Executive Board Member of the Asia Pacific Blood and Marrow Transplantation Group, and membership i n steering committees for the Asian Myeloma Network. Nationally, she serves on the education committees for Malaysian Medical Council, Conjoint board for Postgraduate training for Internal Medicine, and clinical haematology training, and has contributed to several national clinical guidelines. An active researcher and clinician, her work focuses on haematological malignancies, stem cell transplantation, and genetic polymorphisms, extensive publications and participation in international clinical trials. She is a frequently invited speaker, reviewer, and grant assessor, and has received multiple Excellent ervice Awards for her academic and clinical contributions.

Professor Hongeng graduated and started his haemato-oncology training from Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. He is also board certified by American Board o f Paediatrics and Paediatric Haemato-Oncology. He also received fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology and Neuro-oncology at the St.Jude Children Research Hospital, USA. Currently he is a Professor at the Ramathibodi Hospital leading Paediatric Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant and serving as Assistant Dean of Research Affairs. He is member of several prestigious societies. He is internationally well known for his research and publications. His research includes stem cell transplantation, cord blood stem cell expansion, pharmacogenomic adoptive immunotherapy i n cancers and viral infections in post-transplant and cellular therapy, in particular mesenchymal stem cell and amniotic fluid stem cell. He is currently principal investigator for several research grants including “Frequency of thiopurine s-methyltransferase (TPMT) genetic mutation polymorphism in Thai children with acute leukemia”, Adoptive Cellular Therapy research from BIOTEC and co-investigator for National Institute of Health (U.S.A) Grant on minimal residual disease in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Sister Rosaria Pinto, during her 37years a t the Advanced Center for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer o f Tata Memorial Centre (ACTREC), Mumbai, India, she used to be a nurse incharge for 29 years in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit until her recent retirement It is the first center in India to initiate Bone Marrow Transplant and currently, one of the highest volume centers from India as well as in Asia. She presented posters and topics both national and international conferences.
